Thunder Strike features a variety of game modes to venture in.
| Modes | Description |

| Stage Mode | Main game mode of Thunder Strike, and also one of the most important modes that links to other modes of play. |
| Endless Mode | Survival mode gameplay. An optional game mode where players can earn large but limited amounts of base level equipment and pilot glories. Time consuming. |
| World Battle | A non-interactive version of PvP where only scores are contested. Comes at a price. |
| Heroic Mode | Stage Mode revisited, ramping up the difficulty with new gimmicks and a different power level range. |

| Boss Mode | Less powerful boss-shipsm but guarantees an equipment part from fixed inventory sets. |
| Activity Mode | Consists of mini-games which grant hefty resource rewards. |
| Team Stage | Special mode only granted to those in a team. Grants various types of rewards, features a shop system and grants utility of the Nuclei system. |
